My wife bought me two tickets to see Bill Maher in Roanoke in August. Now I need to return the favor and guess what - The Eagles are playing near here in July. This would be a "bucket list" thing for her.
I have used stubhub before. eBay will probably have some. Any other ideas?
Do prices drop just prior to the event?

(14,400 posts)if demand is low, but you take a risk that demand is still going to be high and prices can climb too.

We went to see him a couple of years ago in Durham. He did a very funny show.

(182,725 posts)Called the arena and then went through Ticketmaster. Holy smokes does Ticketmaster suck. They told me yesterday that they were open until 8 pm. Called when I got home and it said they closed at 6. I tried every trick I know to get through a phone tree and no luck. Several calls this morning - one person told me that they were open until 9pm last night *WTF* - and I got them.
With a gift card we got the tickets for less than face value out of pocket to us. My wife will now get to see The Eagles live in concert.
