Have you ever heard of Charles Avison?

Neither had I until I heard this on the radio:



Wikipedia says:

"Charles Avison (1709 – 1770) was an English composer during the Baroque and Classical periods. He was a church organist at St John The Baptist Church[1] in Newcastle and at St. Nicholas's Church (later Cathedral). He is most known for his 12 Concerti Grossi after Scarlatti ..."

The entire album is on Spotify if you have it. So are almost all of Cafe Zimmermann's catalog. If you like Bach, you'll love them.
