But, it's the dog's mouth opening on cue I think that is the gem here… though it did look somewhat mechanical. Thoughts of "Topo Gigio" from the Ed Sullivan days popped into my head!

Regardless, Bravo!

Still a very well trained dog to know to open her mouth on cue.

6. I suspected as much, but what's remarkable is how the dog mouths the words on cue.

THAT is pretty impressive. Really helps sell it. The dog is totally on it. Don't know how he managed that!

and then it didn't and I could see him in action.

But very cute that Wendy opens her mouth on cue

It involves fitting a fake snout over the nose of the animal, which is then controlled remotely to make the artificial mouth open in time with the routine. To make it seem more realistic, the breathable snout is covered in fur exactly the same colour as that of the dog."
