My friend needs help......

I don't often ask for help but I have a wonderful friend who is in dire need of raising money within 10 days or she will be evicted from her apartment. She is a single mother who supports one daughter and helps another to raise three children. Her troubles began when her hours were cut from 40 to 20 per week at the clinic she worked at. There were few other jobs at the time and she did her best but between a broken down van and her health issues, things got worse. She was able to find a new job but the van died and she was forced to get a car. She became ill again and missed a lot of work, which she wasn't paid for.

Isn't there a housing agency where she lives that can help her?

No one should have to live with rats...ever.

I appreciate your help and I know my friend does. She's never been in a situation like this before and is humiliated as well as frightened.

She called animal control and the housing authority both the first time she had rats (not the only apartment in the complex) and the landlord showed them they had a pest control company taking care of the matter. They did not cite the company at the time. The problem is she is not in public housing, when she had full-time job she moved her family to a nice mid-range apartment complex, owned by a prominent company in her town. Money talks.

Name deleted.... she asked me not to include her name in the GoFundME posting in order to prevent her daughters from knowing she was in such trouble until she found a way out. Her girls are worried enough at the moment.

Thanks to sage advice by another poster, I'm deleted my friend's nme. Not ever sure why I nswered this question to begin wiht.
