All over my state most of Comcast TV is down. It is expected to be back up after 10 pm,

according to the recorded message. (But most of the time the help line doesn't answer at all.)

Actually, to be precise, the REGULAR channels are out, higher than Channel 29. However HBO and Showtime are working (maybe other premium stations, too, but I don't have them so couldn't check.)

Hubby says its no coincidence, that some big fight will be over then and it is taking all the bandwidth.

Is that what's going on?

AT&T is usually pretty good about that when those kinds of things happen, hopefully they are the same.

5. Not true. My son gets a credit from them every single time they screw up.

After 8 years of this, I know he's gotten more than two free months of service at this point.

6. After my questioning the person for quite a while (about what caused it, about how they could say

it would be fixed by 10 if they didn't know what caused it, about why it only affected some channels but not all, etc.)

he finally offered me credit for today, and three months of a premium Channel for free.

So if you bug them enough, sometimes they do offer some compensation.

8. That's how my son does it. A 'secret' though...

he never backs down. He is a good man, and a great son, but he does have bipolar. You can argue more efficiently with a rock.
He would call them a zillion times and they know that by now. It's just cheaper to
give him a credit.
