Hopefully, Colbert will come up with a good concept.

I'm much sadder than I thought I'd be, feels like the end of an era. I'd love to watch that last show a few more times to catch everything. And it brought back so many memories, watched Dave for much of my life...

I'm having a hard time with this.

I mean, it's been 31 years for me.

I remember during tough times just being able to close the door, and letting Dave cheer me up before going to sleep.

I remember other times watching with my grandfather, who has been gone a long time.

And now it's over.

I was so young when I started watching him, now I feel so old.

I'm tearing up again...

I will truly miss him. Now I understand how people were reacting to Carson retiring.

but he has been "with me" so long, I do feel a loss. I truly wish him tremendous happiness.

I tried so hard to stay up last night (had been up since 4 AM), saw the first half and the last 20 minutes, but fell asleep in between. I hope I can find the entire show available to stream online.

The end of an era.... truly.

He kept me company during some very tough sleepless nights.
End of an era and the start of a new one... so it goes. *sigh
