They look like some super-cute thing invented by the Japanese. That breed has the cutest kittens ever.

They are seriously into cute. There is a whole ethos of cuteness in Japan called "kawaii."

Started with Hello Kitty, IIRC.

Scottish Fold kittens stand at the top of the pyramid though. They break the Squee-o-Meter every time.

They look like some kind of plush toy version of an anime creature. Like somebody turned Pikachu unto a Beanie Baby.
