watermelon with seeds in the grocery store. It's all seedless. Maybe I'd purchase the seeded kind now (I assume it would be cheaper) - the main reason I didn't eat watermelon back in the day was dealing with the seeds. Now I don't think I'd care anymore but the choice isn't there. It's all seedless.

There's a parking lot stand a miler or so from the SOs which always has seeded types this time of year.

My mother never let us eat watermelon indoors because of the seed mess. Outside eating watermelon could turn into seed spitting contests

I don't think the texture is the same as the original seeded variety. Those seemed "crisper' and sweeter.... but maybe things just seem better in our memories. I just like it plain.

a good one needs no enhancements, a less sweet one can take a little salt

I'm picky though - in general if it isn't a good one I don't eat it. had a run of mushy ones this summer, so I haven't eaten much.

cows and horses LOVE the rinds, chickens will pick them down to the skin

I always ate the seeds once I realised you couldn't grow a watermelon in your stomach .Do seedless watermellons not taste as good as ones with seeds ?
Fidelity is a strange concept .
