This is from the usually reliable Watchers of the Wall website - but, the Spanish language publisher of A Song of Ice & Fire let slip (?) that he was told he'll be getting a copy of The Winds of Winter to translate next year. Of course, next year could be 4 months from now in January, or it could be 15 months from now around Christmas of 2016.
My hope is it gets released right before Season 6.

(8,217 posts)When it comes to GRR Martin, 1 year is 4 in my mind.
So, till that book is on the shelves of my local Barnes and Noble, I don't just want to get my hopes up.

He also said he lost momentum after book 5 because he took on way too many media appearances -promotions, conventions, interviews, etc. Hopefully, he's learned his lesson and can get book 7 out more quickly than he did books 4, 5 and 6.
