Atlanta: I still see them but yes, they are fewer. Most of the summer I had six or eight.

Last couple of years it's been mid-October before they're gone, but I wonder if they know something
this year. Colder sooner?

They tried to take over the bird bath and the resident chickadees and Carolina wrens were having fits about the invaders.
No way to estimate the number of parulas - my husband said there were about a dozen give or take ten!
According to our bird guide their fall migration should have hit here around September 10 - my husband said they're late because of global warming.
