What's your favorite episode of Fawlty Towers?

Fawlty Towers was a British sit-com starring John Cleese that ran for two seasons (1975-1976)...six episodes per season..for a total of twelve episodes.

Many people consider "Fawlty Towers" to be the best British sit-com ever produced.
(Benny Hill Show was not a sit-com)

The main character, hotel owner Basil Fawlty, is based on a real-life British hotel owner who would often show anger and grumble at guests for little or no reason.

My personal favorite episode is "The Germans"

(Off the top of my head..no help from Google so this might not be exactly correct)

BASIL FAWLTY: (commenting on female guest crying in the hotel dining room)
"What's wrong with her?"
GERMAN MAN: "Will you please stop mentioning the war"
BASIL FAWLTY: "Well, you started it"
GERMAN MAN: "No we didn't"
BASIL FAWLTY: "Yes you did..You invaded Poland"

Wasn't "A Touch of Class" the one where Basil drove to the French restaurant twice for the Duck?

"Basil the Rat" was the one where the hotel inspector visited Fawlty Towers.

Plus, the picture hanging schtick which had me almost honk up a lung. Bonus feature - the tasty Robin Ellis of Poldark fame.

Even the episode with the Irish builders, which is generally rated below the others, has a lot of great lines.

"You are Orrelly Men?"
"Which one is man with beard?"

It takes a lot of work to make it all look so effortlessly funny!

At least one episode ended with a pan to the tacky marquis sign in front of the hotel.
Bloody pranksters had rearranged the letters.
I still get a chuckle.
