I hope they'd throw in the flight attendant as well, or else it's overpriced. I don't even LIKE champagne.

For all passengers, not just First Class. Filet mignon dinner with wine plus brandy or cognac after, and a lot of other extra conveniences.

It's been a while (3 EVA Air trips to Vietnam in the '90s), but I'd guess they still do that. Flying for 14 or 15 hours on just one flight leg can be very stressful, and those airlines do everything they can to make the flights as comfortable and pleasant as possible.

If you're going to commute from Singapore to New York, that's the way to go. Although most of the "gourmet" meals he had leave me cold. Souffle Suisse, anyone?

Singapore Air has excellent service as I have flown with them between Seoul and SF several times. Unfortunately for me it was just coach.
