I'd agree.

The blues knows no race.

The blues has no boundary.

A not blues band once said "everybody hurts". This is a profoundly huge statement. We all have the blues in us. It's just a matter of time.

OTOH, there's always the classic comment by Sonny Boy Williamson (the Second) on the British blues players: "Those British boys want to play the blues so bad. And they do."

On the gripping hand, Rory was Irish.

This is a pretty sad album, but obviously those British boys learned quickly.

Dutch Tilders. A Dutch born Aussie, he was booked to support BB King on BB's Australian tour. BB heard him playing but couldn't see him. He assumed Dutch was black and was surprised when they were introduced.
