Long about 11 a.m. I would have said to hubby (and I'm ten years younger than the Pope)... Honey, I'm all in. Can I just have lunch, a nice cocktail and a nap? Watch the news and maybe give it full speed ahead tomorrow?
Do they not realize that he is almost 80?
I am fifty pounds under his weight, ten years his junor, used to a very active lifestyle... And still I can't imagine the schedule they have planned for him!!

(51,122 posts)At the age of 21 he got pneumonia and they had to remove a major portion of one.
Doesn't seem to slow him down.
We live inside the heavy security zone here in Philadelphia. Half the roads are closed and there are soldiers and emergency crews Everywhere.
He'll be fine.

2500+ riders, so I guess there was traffic of a sort.

(21,846 posts)He was visibly tired and leaned on an aide to climb the few steps up to the altar. He then leaned on the altar. I saw him lean on things for support several times during the mass. My friends and I all thought he looked exhausted.
