I can't wait to see this. Not a fan of the actress, but I do like the character.

I have given Marvel a lot of trust, as the actor they got for Daredevil was much better than I expected, even though I did not like him at first.

Vincent D'Onofrio was excellent at The Kingpin/Wilson Fisk. Never heard of Charlie Cox before Daredevil, but he was good in the lead role. (Another British guy playing a New Yorker, though!)

He did very well and proved me wrong.

That is why I give Marvel a lot of leeway on their casting choices.

when they landed Robert Downey Jr for Tony Stark/Iron Man. From there, they have done well with their casting of heroes - Chris Evans as Capt America, Hemsworth as Thor, Chris Pratt in Guardians of the Galaxy, Scarlett Johannson as Black Widow, etc. Heck, even Paul Rudd was good as Ant Man and he was a 3rd tier hero.

Villain casting hasn't been at that level, though, though they've had a few good ones.

the villain dies far more often in the movie. In the comics, the Joker gets sent to Arkham Asylum, he doesn't die. (He died in the Michael Keaton Batman as well as the Christian Bale Dark Knight movie, I believe) Same with a lot of villains - not just the Joker.

Makes things a little bit less interesting though, as there is less character development for villains.

Which is why I enjoy these live action series.
They are amazing.
