Best mix for playlist to use with one of those newfangled wireless speakers.

So we earned enough reward points on one of our credit cards to buy one of those newfangled wireless systems that allows you to buy a speaker per room and play music off your laptop or tablet. Now I just have to figure out the playlist thingie.

I am familiar with iTunes and not opposed to becoming a member to one of these music sites, but I don't want to have to build a playlist based on my limited knowledge of music. Is there anything already out there that has prepared music lists for special occasions?

I am looking for a list for oldies for the eighties, another with top forties, a third with soft music--and a forth with popular music mix.

I once had to heip a friend wire speakers throughout the house by drilling holes and routing wires up into the attic and down to all the rooms.

What I love is my wireless headphones, which are good for TV or stereo or any input. I can go to the kitchen or the bathroom or go lie down without missing a beat.

We use one turntable, (yes, I said turntable) in one room; and a cd player in the family room that we use to play Christmas music on Christmas day. They are only good for the rooms they're in.

We decided to shop around for an affordable sound system that we can install in the house because we can really use a little joyful music in our lives right now. My hubby was skeptical, but his jaw dropped when he saw the Sonos concept. Essentially three sizes of speakers to fit the size of the room, and you can use your tablet or laptop to set up the playlist. It's crazy.

The guy who attended us told us to come back in two weeks and they would have a Bose version that matched the Sonos prices!!!
