Burlington man prepares for a new Olive Garden experience

By Charity Apple / Times-News

Roger Alan Martin and his wife, Alison, were ready to purchase passes for Olive Garden’s all-you-can-eat pass when a package arrived in the mail last Thursday from the restaurant’s corporate office.

It was a complimentary Family Pasta Pass, a first-ever family edition of the never-ending pasta pass, mailed to the family a day before the pass went on sale to the public.

“I can take up to three other people — anytime, every day — for seven weeks (Coca-Cola beverages included),” Alan Martin, of Burlington, said with exuberance on Monday morning. “I can eat Olive Garden again for two months. I’m looking forward to it.”

He’s already started planning, including taking meals to shut-ins and those in his congregation, which he did last year as well. The pass is good for any Olive Garden in the country.
