I think I died and went to craft beer heaven

Dogfish Head 120 in my favorite Led Zeppelin pint glass.

Find this beer and drink it. But don't drink all of it because this stuff is suppose to age well too. I have 8 more that will be stashed and saved for future drinking reasons.

I found out I can get this one locally, but haven't had a chance to go get some yet.

I found it online at Total Wine which has stores in several states. It may be available at other outlets which have big selections. It's kinda expensive here so I won't be buying very much, but I don't drink all that much beer anyway.

I don't know why I can't get that trough my dumb kids heads. They'd rather drink a case of miller lite and I'd rather have a couple of something good - whether it's good for flavor or good for kick. La Fin Du Monde happens to have both.

I should have drank around them when they were growing up so they'd learn. My wife and I made a choice to not drink in front of the kids (other than very rare special occasions - a toast at a wedding or something) because we thought it would be a better influence (plus, her first husband, their father, was an alcoholic and we thought we were trying to not reinforce that).

But now I'm stuck drinking shitty beer at their houses. :/

It's illegal to sell in North Carolina because of the alcohol content.

I was very disappointed. I went out in the pouring rain to find it lol.

They told me I could get it in Virginia.

Yeah, NC barely started selling booze back when I was a teenager lol.

There are still dry counties.

We have the best and most innovated brewery in the country with Dogfish Head along with some great up and coming breweries like 16 Mile and Mispillion River (I had a stout from them that was just sublime!). Why move elsewhere when the best is right here at home!

I live in 'Potland' here in Oregon where I occasionally see bumper stickers proclaiming "Keep Portland Beered"
Last week I dropped into a local tavern to shoot some pool with a bud.
The chalk board behind the bar listed several local micro brews.
I decided on Gilgamesh Breweries' Mamba. Was very yummy.
Laughed a lot reading reviews when I got home and googled them: http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/22432/58039/

Humorous brewers too: ---> http://www.gilgameshbrewing.com/
