I consider the Byrds as the best American band ever, better than the Doors, Beach Boys or any other. Gene Parsons, the drummer in this video, was also a fine singer, guitarist and harmonica player. He was the co-developer of the B-bender, a device that could simulate pedal steel playing. The other developer was Clarence White, the guitarist in this clip along with Roger Mcguinn.
