Dammit - I didn't want to eat my carrots - I was a victim

of WWII war propaganda. Kinda funny, but I can remember being admonished, "Eat those carrots, it's good for your eyesight". NOW we find out that it was promoted to protect the fact that the Brits had radar and used it to shoot down German aircraft during their night-time raids. To hide the invention, the Brits said they fed their pilots carrots and other green veggies:
