I'm down.

(12,723 posts)No flaws in the original. No reason to remake it.

(12,723 posts)all in the name of equality and time has passed? Bear in mind this will be on TV so it will be neutered. No casual bits of nudity and no line about a mind fuck.
Oh well, not really concerned about it. Just won't watch it. I predict it will suck though.
I actually saw the original in a theater before the audience participation began. It is a reasonably well made movie with a great cast and good songs.
I will admit that if Richard O'Brien still owned it and could make a buck I might be OK with it but another bunch of bucks in Lou Adler's fat pockets does not make me happy. He is the type of asshole that gives Hollywood a bad name.

(12,723 posts)Very few of them turn out well. I just view most of them as obvious attempts to make a buck off a built in audience.
With maybe the exception of Cloony's version of Fail Safe I have never seen a TV version of a movie that was worth much of anything.
I have no issues at all with the casting I just don't see the need to remake a perfectly good movie.

(56,828 posts)great cast and just so unusual that it worked for years as a cult classic in local movie theaters. They could get a great cast, but it will be hard to recapture the magic of the original.
