I don't watch tv until 8 pm, but your situation compares with mine IF my WIFI goes out!
Luckily I haven't lost tv except occasionally when a bad storm interferes with DIRECTV's 'gps,' and that only briefly, MAYBE 30 minutes. KNOCK ON WOOD!

then went downstairs to tell hubby. He thought my solution was crazy but finally tried it and it popped on. He's a bit unhappy that I was RIGHT!
I'm still getting a nice adjustment on the bill for the inconvenience of their service. It's not like there is a storm or anything.
OK I'm calm now and dinner is 45 minutes away...cool...

(29,876 posts)kept the 40ft tower/antenna in service which I actually use more than the comcast television as the picture is much more superior.

(63,771 posts)at noon (husband is fanatical about seeing the weather) and 5:30 to 6 cuz I make dinner and we eat at 6:30. So not a lot. Just a little sprinkle for local stuff and weather.
We also get our local paper plus the NYT. Sometimes there's a lot to read left over from the weekend, so today I caught up on my reading in one long READ. And I got it all: politics, local and national, and art (OMG I have to go to MoMA for their Pollack/Jasper Johns exhibit!). My two faves. And of course, I went on DU to check in and whine about something. Plus, I finalized my trip to Sicily at the end of April for a week. And now I'm all excited about that...
What would you do?
Facility Inspector
(615 posts)if it came down to it.
And that would still be 5 gazillion percent more productive than watching ANY television.
