50 years ago, Batman first aired

There was a thread about that here and I watched that show as a young kid 50 years ago and it got me to thinking. 50 years before Batman aired on tv, WWI was raging in Europe and my oldest, now long gone grandparent was aged 15. My wife's sole surviving grandparent was 46 when Batman aired.

Time marches on and it won't be long before there will be no one who can say they watched that show when it first came on.

But during the first season, I was watching Lost In Space which aired on a different channel at the same time. I think I started watching Batman during its 2nd season.
