I wish I could walk around in Brooklyn during this snowstorm

I'm from Florida, where snow is as rare as non-Florida man stories. I can't go see the snow, because I am having dinner with my son tonight for his 20th birthday. By the time I got there, it would be all over and melting probably.

Next time! No, I'm not going to shovel your snow, I don't like it that much!

5. It's Very Windy! There would be whitecaps in the pond if the unfrozen surface was bigger.

I know the vast majority of you folks up north HATE snow, so I hope you're spared it. Kind of a strange thing, my gain (if I was in Brooklyn), and their loss. Oh well, life sucks at times. Beastly hot weather in Florida in summer translates to a very nice vacation spot in the winter.

7. Florida weather does get a bit monotonous (IMHO)

I'm in NYC. I visitited a friend in Daytona Beach area many times, ususally in the summer when the weather was: "90s in the day, 70s at night, chance of thunderstorms." I joked to her that if the news stations wanted to save money they could tape one forecast and use it for 3-4 months. (She didn't laugh.)

The weather people on TV try to put lipstick on a pig, but to Florida natives like me, we can see the lipstick.

moved down to take care of her aged parents a couple decades back. She did say she missed the change of seasons that we have up here. But, Florida's subtropical, so...

O God they just upped the forecast - a half hour ago it was 12 to 18 inches for here. Now it's 12 to 24.

we can do it

We're in NE Ohio and glad to be out of the storm's fury for once.

Snow storm causes 35-mile backup on southbound Interstate 75 in Kentucky

says Breaking News site.

Why that many people would be out in their cars during a warned snow storm is beyond me.

At least walking around, as long as you have good shoes or boots on and you're very careful, no worries! Last year I learned the vital importance of having super-grippy boots while walking around in NYC. I almost fell and broke my ass several times.
