Anyone else watch the premiere of "Lucifer"?

I watched it because it came on after X-Files.

Interesting. Big black angel guy with black wings follows him and tells him to get out of Los Angeles and go back to hell. He tells everyone his name is Lucifer Morningstar.

It was originally a spinoff of the classic Sandman series, though the show seems to be taking it in a very different direction.

It'll be interesting to see if the fundies go berserk over a show with a sympathetic (if smarmy and annoying) Satan protagonist.

Here you go: http://www.joemygod.com/2016/01/26/one-million-moms-vs-fox-tv/

Contact Olive Garden, who sponsored the spiritually dangerous program “Lucifer” and paid corporate dollars to promote their restaurants in association with the content of the program.

Use the information we have provided on our website, and let Olive Garden know that its advertising dollars are supporting sympathy towards the devil and glorifying Satan and that financial support should be pulled immediately.

I guess, I mean, they had the same thought in Anne Rice's novels as well.

I actually quite enjoyed this show.

set DVR from "record show" to "record series."

Interesting how he doesn't _seem_ to want to be bad for badness sake but for punishment of the wicked.

I'll find out wife's opinion tomorrow when she gets a chance to see it.

Of an angel who is doing his job to weed out/punish bad persons (albeit perhaps in an overly enthusiastic manner) vs. the dualistic approach of a rebellious angel found in Christianity.

I perhaps take such things too seriously, so while it sounds entertaining, I won't be watching the show as the topic creeps me out.

Fascinating idea. If it's done right, could be a contender.

I was curious because I was thinking that this was the DC character Lucifer Morningstar, which is part of the Constantine/Sandman and therefore Arrow/Flash universe, particularly since Constantine was a guest star in Arrow.

That would be fun!

The dour, arrogant title character is portrayed as a smug bastard, and sexed up.

Seems enjoyable, but...ham-fisted. I would probably like it a lot more were I not comparing it to what I've read.
