Dos Equis will replace “The Most Interesting Man in the World”

NEW YORK (WDEF) – Life is about to get a little duller for actor Jonathan Goldsmith.

He has played The Most Interesting Man in the World on commercials for Dos Equis for the last decade.

But the company is replacing him after a last commercial debuting on Thursday.

They are sending him on a one-way trip to Mars.

The Tsingtao beer company in China (in cooperation with Dos Equis) will use the Chinese rocket featured in the movie Martian to rescue him in a few years. After his return to Earth, he will once again be "The Most Interesting Man in the World" .
