Warren Haynes Ashes & Dust tour

Saw Warren Haynes with his Ashes & Dust band last night and, wow, what a show. I had given a listen beforehand to his new Ashes & Dust album, which was recorded with Railroad Earth - and Grace Potter on Gold Dust Woman. I thought the album was a little low key but once I heard it live I changed my mind. Warren brings it and while the Ashes & Dust band is no Railroad Earth, they played well and seemed to be enjoying themselves immensely. Warren and his band played quite a few tunes off the new album along with a couple of crowd pleasing ABB songs, a Neil Young cover and closed with Tom Waits' Get Behind the Mule. A fabulous show. Oh, and we'd love to see Jonathan Tyler, the opening band, again. They're a young group from Texas with fresh songs and a unique sound. Good stuff!
