I was making myself a ham sandwich for my supper later at work.

I eat a lot of ham sandwiches and our male cat, Dylan, always begs for some ham when I'm making my sandwich. I split a slice with him and he is content.

Well, today I gave him his half a slice and he started to eat it when he saw a small bug crawling across the floor. He pounced on the bug, ate it, and did not finish the rest of his ham.

I wonder what this means?

I've never tried bugs before. I hear they are popular in some Asian countries, though. My wife's cousin has tried them and says they are tasty.

Does it become more appetizing?

I mean, I know that works for me, but I might be an outlier.

But ham is a terrible food for kitties. Even a bite has waaaay too much salt for their kidneys. I'm all for treats and do give my pets tastes from the table, but I'd nix the ham.
