a canoe that is placed on top of a mountain as the snow is melting. It is washed down the hill into a stream, then a lake, river until finally it end up in a very polluted sea populated by huge ships and pollution. very good film to teach kids about the environment. All of us kids in Canada saw it in school.

(149,593 posts)The director was Martin Scorsese. His young daughter asked him why didn't he make movies she and her friends could see...
It's a charming story about a little boy who lived in a Paris train station. He is involved in a mystery...and part of the story is based on a real person.
It was shown in 3-D in the theaters, but I saw in in 2-D at home, and it was great. Didn't miss the 3-D at all.
I highly recommend it!

(10,558 posts)I know, I know, all the cool kids prefer Peter Pan but I was never one of the cool kids....and I thought Robin Williams and Julia Roberts were absolutely adorable in that movie.

(12,296 posts)I found it at the library when my daughter was about 3 ... she was utterly amazed by it. Very simple story, no dialogue, about 10 minutes long. Perfect for younglings.
