Bill Monroe's from Kentucky.
The only thing Kansas can claim is, well, Kansas.
Nuff said.

(12,132 posts)but I bet there's a lot more Kentucky Bluegrass out there to pile on. Still trying to think of who else came from Kansas....
Oh yeah, I do love these guys:
Saw them at a little club here and bought a T-Shirt from the lead guitarist. Super nice guy who was just happy to be there and find out people liked his music.

(36,827 posts)Even if this were correct at one time (and I'm not sayin it is), Bill Monroe is pushing daisies and Joe Walsh is still alive and quite well.
So the operative word is 'had', not "has".

(12,132 posts)I didn't know a lot about them but they won a grammy for that album (Or maybe a CMA? I dunno but I doubt I would have been watching the CMAs and I often watched the Grammies) and when they went up to get their award the drummer was wearing jeans a Led Zeppelin t-shirt. I decided right then they were cool with me.
