Aftermath - Either the laziest writing I have seen, or too subtle a Lampoon.

I won't go back to look for more coincidences, but they are definitely weaving in scenes or twists from popular movies. It begins with people getting sick and degrading into violence, just like the Crazies. Then these infected people developed super powers that gave the the ability to whisk people into the sky, which reminded me of how Alfie Woodard was sucked up into the sky in The Forgotten. Then there's the explanation that these people are possessed by Skin Walkers, which is another movie. But, you can get these spirits to leave the body, if you kill the person -- which I'm sure comes from yet, another movie.

Oh, it gets better.

In one short sequence, there was an exact scene from the Grudge, which a pale Asian girl crawling in a weird way, followed by another possessed person looking through a broken door a la, "Wendy, I'm home."

This whole strange end-of-the-earth movie begins with meteors following from the sky, which reminds me of War of the World. To affirm that impression, the sky turns red.

I think I could get into it if I didn't get the impression that the actors are taking it too seriously.
