My wife and I are going to a local New Deal dinner tonight in Indiana.

They used to be called JJ dinners, but I guess someone decided it would be a good idea to change the name. If you don't know what they are, they are local fund raising dinners for the Democratic party. You get to have a nice meal and rub elbows with the who's who of the local Democratic party. John Gregg, the Democratic candidate for governor of Indiana, is supposed to be there tonight. Hopefully, Jen and I will have a picture with him that I can post here later on.

P.S. Gregg is currently polling ahead of his Republican rival.

I'm sure you both will have a great time, and getting that photo will be the icing on the cake!

I hope to hear good news about Gregg being Indiana's next Governor! He'll be a great improvement over ugh Pence.

Gregg is a bit on the conservative side for a Democrat, but you kind of have to be if you expect to get anywhere in deep red Indiana's politics as a Democrat. A lot of people here think you're a damn commie if you have that D beside your name no matter what the reality might be.
