Post Mortem - Walking Dead Thread

It was 90 minutes of building up Negan as a spiteful, but masterful psychological mind-fucker. Drinking Denise's Orange soda, shit. That's just low.

My views: Rick is really a man who has been stripped down. He's not faking it.

Although Daryl seems to hold onto the last vestiges of his spirit, I think the reality is that he thinks he deserves to die. So he doesn't give in to Negan, because he doesn't really care if he gets killed. It's clear now that Negan faults him for Glen's death. And Daryl has Rosita to remind him what his lack of self-control cost them. What's more, Daryl knows that his judgment sucks because he had a chance to kill the guy who killed Denise, but let him go.

Rosita: It is almost poetic justice that Abraham's crew of Rosita and Mullet-head are going to avenge him.

Michonne: So conflicted. Do you think she's really trying to make it work? I don't think so.

I hope the priest doesn't get in trouble for lying about Maggie.

1. It's almost too painful to watch. Interesting how the women are the ones rebelling

Rosita and Carol and Michonne and Maggie. The men are all beaten down.

Do you suppose there are guns buried in Maggie's "grave"?

3. That would be a great twist if there were guns in Maggie's grave.

But, obviously, they would be guns that Father Gabriel had collected on his own, circumventing the inventory.

One of the guests said it best about why the women are reacting differently. It's because women are accustom to facing off with pricks like Negan. LOL!

I know he feels awful and I don't blame him for not giving a crap what Negan does. This could be good for what he could do next. Kind of like when you're so down and have nothing left to lose it can propel you to something larger than where you were before.

I personally do not like Negan. I do not like not liking him, as some folks have said. He is not fun to hate. To me he is too much like what we are seeing in the world now, taking whatever you chose from those who are just struggling to survive. I don't want to think people like that are going to be where human kind goes in an apocalyptic situation. I am big fan of "The Stand" by Stephen King and I liked how there was a "good" faction and a bad one and people were drawn into the side that was inside them.

Maybe I am reading too much into this, it is a TV show! But it does grab you by the seat of your pants.
I am really looking forward to what Michonne will do. She is a bad ass and I trust that she is going to do something amazing!

More have suffered loss than Rick or Michonne.

6. I really hate Negan and his people. They are cringe-worthy to me.

Maybe because the premiere was around the election?

Anyway, I know he is around time in the comics but I hope in the series he doesn't last as long or at least not with the full power of leading the Saviors.

We caught up last night and I kept saying "how can this person still be alive" or why are the people who are subjugated by him still alive. I mean, wouldn't someone besides Rick and the Gang have tried to take him out? Personally, in that situation, I'd rather die trying to kill that guy than live like that.
