Had a most unpleasant incident with a magazine this afternoon...

I was approaching the checkout at my local supermarket, and I was suddenly face-to-face with the latest People magazine. Gee-- can you guess who was on the cover?? I nearly retched. Could have ruined my day.

But there was a happy ending of sorts: before I even thought about it, I instinctively slipped another magazine over the People-- anything to hide the offensive cover. And I left feeling a little smug.

The point of this story is: Beware of the printed garbage you're going to see at the checkout stand-- avert your eyes. It's not a pretty sight.

All anti-Hillary, during the weeks leading up to the election.
It's in the checkout area. I was disgusted to see this virulent hatred in a place where there's never anything political.

6. When I'm in a store that sells a lot of magazines (the paper kind)

I habitually go through and cover up all the gun porn with women's beauty-type publications.

It's RIDICULOUS how much of that crap they carry!
