I put some Christmas lights up in my house, have been enjoying them while making dinner.

Oh, and a shot of vodka.

So yes! All right! Don't judge me!

I had to work late in the city I had to be in (yesterday, it was Paris), and the Thalys train back to Düsseldorf was just late enough for the doors of the commuter train back to my little town to close in front of my nose. I had to wait in the below-freezing temperature until the 10:30 train came along, and didn't get home until 11:00 PM, where about 3 hours of calls to the States plus paperwork awaited me.

MAYBE I can relax a little today, but my wife just got home from the hospital, so I'll be taking care of her for while, and then I'm supposed to run over to Sprout City early tomorrow. There is no rest for the weary.
