Off Saturday and Sunday and then the company is giving us paid holiday days on Monday and Tuesday.

Can't complain.

I'm a float and I work so employees w/little kids or those celebrating Xmas can get off. It means extra $$$ for me!

It's usually a fun week to work. Everyone is in a good mood and it's a little more relaxed. I like it.

I liked working the holiday weeks when I worked for a large corporation. No meetings, no memos, and few bosses. No political jerks working to affix blame for a problem rather than working to solve the problem. I would get a lot done even though it was like a vacation at work.

I recall one two week summer vacation I hastily rescheduled when I learned my immediate supervisor was scheduled off the same two weeks.

and for about my last 15 years I had systems responsibilities that required daily checks, including Christmas and New Year's.
I figure I paid my dues.

Did give an emergency white cell donation one Christmas Day. That was kind of cool.

Boo hoo, but I did take the last two Fridays off. It will be a ghost town at work Thursday and Friday, maybe I can delve a little bit deeper into this 800 page novel I started for some reason.

Peace

I work Monday through Friday this week but I only work half a day on Friday. I have next Monday off for Christmas. I don't mind being at work this week. Each day of the week the office gets quieter as people take off for the holidays.

and doing carpet removal/other preparation for putting in the new floor over Christmas. I am taking Christmas week off both as a make up for two previous vacations I had to cancel due to work projects and to put my condo back together since everything is in boxes and piled everywhere.

So even when I'm "off" I'll be working harder than my day job putting everything back in place.
