My daughter and I had a quiet Christmas together. We did connect

with my wife (her mother) when my daughter opened her gifts. Thankfully my daughter was home today (with her boyfriend) to share the day with me. My wife is in Florida trying to pack up her mother and bring her up north. Just been a trying time. I'm glad I had family (small as it is), including our furry friends.

was vomiting insanely the last couple of days and got pretty dehydrated and low on some electrolytes, they stopped it with a couple doses of zofran and topped him off with 2 liters of fluids. we will do Xmas tomorrow.

the main downer of it was this was the first white xmas here in a few years (decades?)

I'm of the belief that these are exactly the kinds of things - and the only things - we take with us when we leave: these sweet little memories that mean so much.

Merry Christmas, madinmaryland, to you and yours.

Yes. We had an interesting day, but we were there for each other.
