The wife and I had 2 frozen margaritas each. I'm working on a whiskey sour now.
My recipe for frozen margaritas...
4 oz Tequila (I use Jose Cuervo Reposado)
2 oz Orange Liqueur (Cointreau is the traditional choice here, but I prefer to use Grand Marnier because it's a bit sweeter. Cointreau has a more pronounced orange flavor.)
Juice of 3 limes
2 cups ice
Blend until smooth
Serve in 2 martini glasses with salted rim with lime wedge and maraschino cherry garnish
My new (to me) Blendtec blender does a great job with frozen drinks. It basically turns ice into snow. No more ice chunks and a smooth texture.

(55,006 posts)a proper margarita COCKTAIL is shaken and served on the rocks, not made into a slushy
(now rum drinks, those make for good slushies )

(36,827 posts)The recipe I use is actually the classic margarita cocktail, so if you don't like the slushy, just don't run it through the blender.
However, in Texas when the mercury goes into the 100s, the slushies aren't altogether a bad idea.
