What's everybody cooking for Easter?

I love Easter and Thanksgiving...no gifts to have to buy, just good food to enjoy.

Every Easter Will, Cailen and I go to my friends' Peter and Joy's house for dinner. They are both marvelous cooks and dinner is always a feast. They usually have a ham and a turkey and lots of veggies. I bring my famous scalloped potatoes which I make with heavy cream and sharp cheddar. I'll throw a blueberry pie infor good measure. How about you?

Probably veggie dogs. Might be veggie links in crescent rolls. Might be soup. Something simple. HopeHoops Apr 2012 #2

"Treat your friends to an old-fashioned dinner with our traditional Conecuh Hickory Smoked Ham. Each of our hams is specially selected, sugar cured for nine days and smoked over hickory chips. No wonder this meal has become a holiday tradition in so many families."

The Conecuh Sausage Co. is a couple of hours away on I-65.
You can smell the sausage every time you drive by.

with my religious mom and stepfather, I don't remember doing anything special for easter food.

At least, nothing more than every Sunday after church dinner was - usually a roast or fried chicken. We might have a little chocolate bunny for dessert though. Mom did like her candy...

nowadays I don't even know it's Easter except I see more people dressed up on Sunday than usual.

Last time I forgot to take off his little vest and tie. When I served him for Easter dinner, the grandkids started to cry.

Just kidding...geez.

Ham, kielbassa, some kind of rice, asparagus, salad, broccoli-cheese casserole, rolls, Paska bread. Bunny cake for dessert.
