He keeps saying: "If I should chance to appear in publick, the lads from the King's Men will surely compels me to produce more plays for their enrichment! I have retired from the theater!"

I managed to convince him to come out for a pub crawl for old time's sake.

That was an alternate title for "Much Ado About Nothing".

Although people accuse Philip Henslowe of creating titles of non-existent plays in order to fool the play-going public that the Lord Chamberlain's Men had more plays than they actually did.

Plenty of beef and lamb, which he's used to. The cheeses take some getting used to, accustomed as he is to England's hard cheeses, Stilton, Cheddar, Cheshire, and so on.
