(9,256 posts)Had a sweet tooth. If you had a donut or muffin he HAD to have a bite. That's all he wanted, a little taste, but he was a complete pest about it until you gave in. I miss him.

(86,323 posts)That reminds me of two cats in my distnt past whom I will never forget or stop loving. Both were Siamese, one a mix, both female and had amazing intellect, talked and had personalities that were far more interesting than many people I have known.
One was a feral kitten I rescued, before we came to an understanding, she would steal the food off your plate before you knew what happened. After a few months she started a new tactic which was to stand up with front paws on my leg or a cabinet door, body slam me and wave a paw up at me like I should put whatever it was in her paw, she was awesome.
the other was way back when I was in my twenties, a chocolate/seal point mix. She would beg more like this guy in the OP. She liked to taste whatever I ate and she would eat spaghetti and she would eat oatmeal on occasion. But she would do the same thing whenever I had a cookie. She had to taste it but she didn't like bread or cookies... after investing so much effort into begging before i gave her a piece only to realize she didn't really want it, would chew up the piece of cookie while spitting out the crumbs and act like she really ate it! Meanwhile there was a field of crumbs about her for a 12-14 inch radius. Made me laugh every time.
In defense of the gif lady, she's laughing and is only teasing him so he'll be persistent in trying to get some for the recording... but it is a butter croissant after all!

(1,832 posts)I carried a couple of bags home, and the fish was in a bag close to my chest. My normally very gentle cat did not ask or think, when the smell found her nose. She climbed me as a tree, ripped the bag open and stole the fish.
