"The Awakening" BBC, 2011, on Netflix.

Actually have a couple of days off work this week (yay), so I've been watching Netflix. As you know, NF is hit or miss, but I found a great movie. "The Awakening" is billed as "horror" but it's not really not a horror movie, it's more of a mystery. Beautifully done. Rebecca Hall stars and I can't get over how lovely she is. She reminds me of a female Benedict Cumberbatch, except she is prettier if that is possible. I would recommend if you're snowed or rained in some time. It would also be good for those of you snuggling up on Valentine's Day. Sip hot tea while you watch.

"A ghost-debunker comes to a boy's school to disprove the existence of ghosts, only to find her own beliefs challenged.

Haunted by the death of the fiancé, Florence spends her time debunking supernatural claims, using methodical and rational explanations to disprove the notion that the dead can still haunt us. She feels compelled to accept a request to go to Rookwood, a boarding school in the countryside where a boy has recently been found dead and rumours about a ghostly boy haunting the school are causing panic amongst pupils and parents alike.

Florence sets to work immediately, laying traps, gathering scientific evidence, uncovering secrets and seemingly unravelling the mystery.
