Logan Receives A 96% Positive Score On Rotten Tomatoes

Logan won’t be out in theaters for another two weeks, but many critics and press were able to see the film early this past Thursday. And, judging by Rotten Tomatoes, James Mangold’s film is currently holding with a 96% positive ratings score. This is already far higher than the previous Wolverine films.

The film is very much a contemporary western and one of the most highly anticipated superhero films of 2017. It’s the second R-rated superhero film to be released, the first one being Deadpool, and for a character like Wolverine, it’s been a long time coming.

You can read Heroic Hollywood’s review of Logan here.

The film debuted to press without an end-credits scene, however, 20th Century Fox has updated Logan’s run time and this suggests that there will be one added for general audiences.

The film is tracking to make $60 million during its opening weekend. The film will mark the final time Hugh Jackman will play the character of Wolverine, a role he originated in 2000’s X-Men.

...though if anyone could pull it off, it's Jackman. As an X-fan since 1963, can't wait to see this one...

Violent, dark, and one of the best comic book movies ever made.

It is also full of social commentary. The militarized U.S. and the border, corporate farming and its products, and driverless trucks.

Highly recommended.

Actually several other R rated super hero movies have been released in the past (The Watchmen, the Blade movies, The Crow, etc.).

Watch the 12 year old actress in it. She is something special. Dafne Keen. She holds the screen with Stewart and Jackman - no small accomplishment for anyone - especially someone of her age in her first movie.
