She will lie on her back and make "happy paws" in mid air enjoying having her belly rubbed for as long as you are willing to do it. Calico cats are not supposed to be so affectionate, but she seems to have been absent from calico cat school the day that lesson was held.

7. There's a place in Jacksonville called Catty Shack.

They rehab injured, old or unwanted big cats and a few other animals. They've got some taken away from homes by wildlife officers, and some that came from zoos. It's a really cool place and great idea, though I wish they had larger confinement areas. They have 8 vets that treat the animals. One is undergoing stem cell therapy right now. They also have come up with ideal housing and some of the areas have those. If anyone wants to support a good cause, they could send some money so they can purchase more of these ideal environments and enlarge those.
