Mostly they were cats and a few dogs. Every place I've ever lived has had a designated place in our yard where beloved pets were laid to rest. Many had no marking but when my last kitty crossed the rainbow bridge, I found a sweet kitty yard ornament to mark his grave. People who have never had a pet have no idea what they've missed in their lives.
