Russian architecture in war and peace....

These Russian structures looks strangely alike, the Hobbit-like church and the ugly warship, for worshiping life and death - each with lots of weird small sections piled together for no obvious reason:



Pyotr Velikiy ( Пётр Великий ) is a Kirov-class battlecruiser of the Russian navy, just returned from Syria.
The Church of the Transfiguration ( Церковь Преображения Господня ) is an old wooden church at Kizhi.
