Yes, I like this program. It stared before the elections, but after a terrorist attack, the governor of Michigan was going after Muslims in the state. So much so, that the Michigan National Guard refused to be federally deputized (or whatever the term is..) to defy the governor's order.
Anyhoo, the program returned after the winter break, and here is the spoiler:
The bad guy is now a new VP and, after the president has to undergo surgery and invoking the 25th Amendment, he is now acting president. Overseas market are already tanking and the cabinet wants to keep the New York market closed. But not our acting president: and this from a recap on EW:
MacLeish hears this advice and decides to ignore it hed rather allow market forces to play out. In frightening Steve Bannon-esque fashion, this move sort of hints at what his and his wifes overall strategy is: utter and total chaos.

(Wonder whether EW will be added to Trump's enemy list..)

(23,947 posts)I was a fan a few minutes into the first episode, and am hoping for long run.
It is interesting that ABC has 2 separate evening dramas centering on the presidency. I do like Scandal, also, but I like Designated Survivor more.
