I've got huge stacks of papers from this week to grade and return by Wednesday

I was hoping to make some good progress Tuesday, yesterday, and today

Instead, the first thing I discover early on Tuesday is two students have cheated collaboratively

The cheating was astoundingly obvious and not hard to prove

It's something like being a forensic document examiner, except it pays nowhere near as well

But it's been a big sucking vortex for my time: I spent most of Tuesday,yesterday, and today dealing with THAT shizz, making copies and writing up one little nit-picky detail after another until I made my case

I took this to administration and was told my documentation was exhaustive and 100% convincing

The students meanwhile are disputing this

Next week I'll have to deal with the kids face-to-face, as they irately try to bluff and bully me into backing down

And I've still got the huge stacks of papers from this week to grade and return by Wednesday

3. There's 3 kinds of cheaters

1. The ones with no prayer of understanding, never mind mastering, the material.
2. The ones who find you, the material or both boring.
3. The ones who enjoy the challenge... of cheating.

Group 1 is usually caught.
Group 2 usually makes a bunch of money in the business world.
Group 3 often run as Republicans.
