No notice. Nothin'.
My babies are winding down their Deli-Cat (they get constant kibble and wet food one a day) and now I have to switch them, and they like this stuff.

(13,546 posts)really well. I also give her the Friskie's pate. Costco carries a 48 can assortment, but it's not all the varieties my little "sweeters" prefers, so I get those elsewhere.
She's not very big, so it takes awhile for her to go through a big bag of food like that. I put garbage sack liners in a couple cat litter buckets. Dump the sack in there, seal up the bags good enough, and it keeps it from getting too dry and stale.

But damn them for slipping up

(13,546 posts)in smaller bags that would stay fresher. I thought since she is an indoor cat, it should be better for her. She started out eating it pretty well. The little dish of Friskies pate is supposed to be just an evening treat. Before long she was hardly eating that Science Diet stuff and pestering me relentlessly for more of the wet food. I thought maybe I'd spoiled her on the dry stuff and would have to feed her the wet food full-time.
Some vet students told me those indoor formula's were just a marketing ploy and not really necessary for most cats. I tried another sack of the Kirkland and she started scarfing it right down! They know what they like and what's good for them. Right back to how it was before. Her feeder always stocked with the Kirkland and treats for dinner! Plus Temptations treats I have stashed by our movie time spot! She loves those too.

(20,568 posts)cat food. I give it to one of my cats and the other two eat prescription urinary problem diet food. Big price difference.

(1,606 posts)It's always a pain to find something new that they like, and is a good choice for them. Hope that you find a good replacement.
We mix a few diff. foods together so it's easier if need be to replace one out. Right now we use a blend of Royal Canin persian, Nature's Variety Instinct Grain free chicken, and Nature's Recipe grain free Salmon, for the dry mix. We sometimes give wet food but not that often.. mainly due to it being such a waste, it gets licked and then abandoned in the dish lol

(20,867 posts)It comes in 3 lb., 7 lb. & 16 lb. bags.
Its like cat crack IMO.
I hope they don't pull this one -- can buy online at target.com FYI.
Best of luck as I can relate!

(36,247 posts)Best to vary it. I give my kitties fish no more than one day a week. And avoid tuna altogether.

(20,867 posts)I too have CASES of organic wet food and huge BAGS of dry food.
And no, the troublemakers won't go but a lick of the wet food and none of the pricey dry food.
So what the hell is one to do?
Anyone want some free food! All you have to do is pay the cost of shipping and it is all YOURS to be had.
So pissed about this WASTE of food money!
Noted the shelter nearby had a handsome supply of canned Blue Buffalo and I guess that is a no go too for lots of cats out there!

(9,808 posts)It's not for sale at the Purina store, and the product page brings up a 404.
We had to switch a kitty with a strong preference for a dry food, so my suggestion is to buy up as much as you can and start mixing whatever new food you choose into it, starting at a 10% mix and increasing.
Amazon has it for now.
Madame found both Felidae and Royal Canin Pink to be irresistible once she got over her snit that she couldn't have a food where she could bite off all the corners and leave the centers. (Yes, she played with her food.)
