Even at the end, you're not 100% sure whether the Peter Falk character really is who he has claimed to be, or if he's just a remarkable (and remarkably lucky) bullshit artist. Playing off of Alan Arkin's deadpan Shel, "The In-Laws" is a real treat, and if "Midnight Run" wasn't so damn long, would make a terrific double feature.
